KVTC Essay Contest for Secondary Schools

In 2017 the Kilombero Valley Teak Company (KVTC) organized an Essay Contest to mark its 25 year anniversary and the contest was one of the highlights of the anniversary events and resulted in a number of high quality essay submissions which gave KVTC valuable insight in the experiences and views of its stakeholders. Due to the success KVTC is organizing another Essay Contest in 2018.

The Essay Contest is organized to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the youth in promoting sustainable development. It also aims to inspire the company to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference.

Aside of prizes offered for the winning essays there will be radio interviews on local radio stations with the winners and participating schools
